Technology Tools

Hello everyone,

hope you are feeling good and safe.

What do you think when you see the picture?
This is what we will talk about this week in this post...Technology Tools.

What are Technology tools?

Technology is booming in today's classrooms. Teachers and students have access to countless technology tools that help them instruct and learn.
Three top teacher tools include the interactive whiteboard, computer, and document camera.
Student learning is supplemented with tablets, clickers, and apps.

There are a wide range of tools available for students, educators, and librarians. The key is selecting materials that are effective, efficient, and appealing.

The twenty-first century has arrived, and it has brought some of the most advanced computing technologies into the classroom; this leaves us with a very important question, do we really need technology, such as iPads or computers, implemented in our learning plans? As a student that has taken entire courses on iPads or computers, I can tell you that the former is not the case. There are plenty of reasons to teach about technological advances in each individual field of learning, but, more often than not, technology is unreliable and distracting for students. Not to mention that methods of maintenance rehearsal, like taking notes by hand, are more effective for recollection of information than staring into a screen. The bottom line is, using technology as a tool for education in the classroom is not necessary because it can inhibit the way students learn material. Technologies like computers or iPads (or anything with internet access for that matter) in the classroom could possibly distract students from their work.

To sum up, I think that school administrators should remember not to force technology into their curriculum unless they are confident in the student 's ability to learn and correctly recall information presented. When students have no desire to learn and are given tools to distract themselves technology hurts them, or rather their test scores, more than students who learn with book or oral based teaching because the absence of distraction.

I hope you guys liked my point of view on technology tools.

Please let me know in the comment your opinions.

  1. Although the fuure is technology i agree with the fact that you have mentioned technology distract them and even can't score high points in the tests, compared to students that learn with books and achieve more in their studies. Students should use technology tools only when they are sure that they are going to use it for purpose of studies and to gain more knowledge.
